Tourism Handicap :
The Foix-Ariège-Pyrénées Tourist Office was awarded the "Tourisme et Handicap" label on 11 December 2018 for a period of 5 years. The Tourism and Disability label is a guarantee of an efficient welcome adapted to the essential needs of people with disabilities: motor, mental, auditory and visual.
Actions carried out by the Tourist Office :
- Fitting out of the Tourist Office premises (specific equipment: hearing aid system, etc.),
- Staff training,
- Documentation adapted to reception (accommodation and restaurant listings in enlarged type, Braille sheets),
- Raising awareness among service providers about the reception of people with disabilities.
